Did you know: Chris Evans gets panic attacks. Yes, he does. This is one reason why he’s very private and didn’t really do any meet-and-greets on the Avengers’ sets.
It amazes and inspired me that a man who does what he does can do it, even with an anxiety disorder. You go, Chris.
This is why I get so upset when I hear negative comments about Chris and how he doesn’t seem as out-going as the rest of the Avengers cast. I remember hearing people complain about how he’s ‘rude’ and the like and it’s sad, because I highly doubt he intends to come off that way, he’s just more reserved than the others.
I remember hearing once that he actually went to seek psychiatric help before accepting the role of Captain America because of how anxious he felt regarding it. As well as the fact that he already played another Marvel superhero and he was concerned how comic fans would react to his playing another hero in that universe.
Just because someone’s in the entertainment industry doesn’t mean they’re going to be incredibly outgoing off camera just as much as they appear to be on camera. Some people just really enjoy acting; they’re not the characters they portray nor are they like their costars nor are they going to be incredibly outgoing because of their choice of career.

I honestly feel the same. It’s just so bad! It’s not worth having any feels over, even Bolin can’t hold it together! Just… everything about it is soooo wrong….As soon as it became known that the love triangle between Korra, Mako, and Bolin would be a main focus, I started checking out. The fact that Bolin’s feelings for her seem completely out the door at this point and it’s just constant Korra/Mako pushed me to leaving. And now it’s, what, episode 6 or 7 and it feels like WAY too much stuff has happened in too short of an amount of time. It just feels rushed beyond belief, each time I finish watching an ep I feel unsatisfied.
I guess they felt like it was aimed at an older audience, but still retaining to be kept view a the tv-7 level they had to make it faster? But I’m getting what you two are saying and I feel like it’s not the same.
Compared to A:TLA I felt things there were better understood, well I’m not sure if it’s the right word, but it let things sink in overtime. Unlike with Korra where, as you guys said, at this point with all the drama and the relationships, things just seem to be rushed within the amount of time given for each episode.
But what can we do.
I would agree, only look at ATLA. That’s a kid’s show. Aimed at kids. And wonderfully paced, IMO.
They’re doing the Amon storyline in a single season and that’s why it feels rushed to me. I feel that story line has a LOT of depth to it, but they can’t reach it/are rushing through it because of that decision.
I know there’s nothing that can be done to change it, but it doesn’t mean I have to sit here and just enjoy it either, LOL.
